If I Were King we would instantly address USA Hockey’s need to implement a stricter alcohol and substance abuse policy. Aside from several serious issues over the last ten years, junior hockey has developed a party reputation that is hindering the development of an entire cross-section of prospects.
In the last 24 hours, we have heard serious allegations regarding the Northern Cyclones (USPHL Junior and Midget) program ignoring numerous drug allegations involving players living in their team dorm. My fear is another mass casualty situation with high amount of marijuana laced with fentanyl being discovered in the region.
As a dad, I’m not going to be able to sleep before doing all I can to address the situation.
