If I were the king of junior hockey, one of the first orders of business would be to clone the character and principles of former USA Hockey board of director Dave Tyler into a newly created position of standards enforcement czar.
If Tyler was running the show today, guys like Dave Boitz, Tony DeSilva, and others would melt into the obsolescence. “Tyler would have simply shut the Wilderness (NAHL) down right now pending the outcome of the SafeSport investigation,” one USA Director said yesterday. “Nobody would have questioned Dave about it either.”
