If I Were King: Deregulation of Junior Hockey

“You have been taking a lot of shots at USA Hockey lately,” a district staffer complained recently. Maybe so, but if USA Hockey spent a little more time enforcing standards, instead of simply printing them, I would have less about USA Hockey to talk about.

One of the most glaring issues surrounding the game is the absolute disrespect for on-ice officials. The incident from the United States Premier Hockey League (where a player strikes a referee) is just another example.
