BEHIND THE BENCH: The Hockey Mom

On most occasions this newsletter focuses on player development, Junior hockey programs, mental/physical preparations and the art of coaching but this week I am going to begin with one of the most vital components to the frozen way of life… the hockey mom.

No, not because there are too few hockey matters at the moment- with playoffs in progress and summer camps on the way. Heck, just yesterday the USPHL Premier expanded their league to 376 teams (What? You missed it? Check your inbox. Every single one of them just emailed you a player contract. No tryout necessary). But rather because of one hockey mom who AGAIN was recognized for all of her hard work by the NAHL.
