If I Were King: New West Coast League Would Exceed All USA Hockey Tier Standards

Rules, we all have to live by them until we don’t.

Within the spectrum of junior hockey in the United States, USA Hockey’s tier standards for the three junior levels of play were the benchmark for others to follow. In the past, Junior Council chairman Dave Tyler held the operators’ hand to the fire when it came to violations of those standards. That has not been the case since his departure.

Over the weekend The Hockey News penned a story regarding the formation of a new junior hockey league along the west coast. The timing could not have been better.
